This source provides information for those who are unaware on how those who have lost hearing and those in the deaf community hear music through Cochlear Implants. It explanation that includes sound bites to get you to understand what a song sounds likes are extremely detailed and prove that while technology has come along way and is still improving, there still needs to be improvement. It provides a story of someone who at a young age started to lose his hearing at a young age and follows his life and interest of music as Cochlear Implants started to affect his taste in music. One of the main limitations of this source is that it doesn’t explain in great detail what Cochlear Implants are, and it doesn’t provide information about how those in the deaf community get around in a hearing world. It specifically focuses on how they try to hear music.

I found this source useful because it had links to videos that would help me learn American Sign Language. One of the main limitations of this source was that it didn’t provide much information about the deaf community, which I am researching for my Capstone Project.

This source is a video featuring a woman who is an expert and also fluent in American Sign Language teaching her viewers on how to sing certain useful words that one might need if they wanted to learn American Sign Language. This video appears as a single video in a series of videos teaching the audience American Sign Language if the viewers are curious and interested in learning American Sign Language. As far as its usefulness to my capstone, it isn’t useless, which is obviously the point. This source and this video help me further my research a study and help me learn some Sign Language which is at least part of the goal of my Capstone, but there are major limitations as this site only helps me study American Sign Language and doesn’t teach me anything about learning about the deaf community.
